@stegebhardt we are pretty sure it is a configuration problem, so you need to help us help you a little.

You need a physical connection from one of the yellow LAN ports on the Speedport to the blue WAN port on the AC1750.

Login to Gargoyle and go to :
Gargoyle - Connection - Basic - Device Configuration
select Gateway(Default)

Gargoyle - Connection - Basic - Internet / WAN
select DHCP (Wired)
click DHCP renew
note: Current IP

Based on a previous post, I am guessing that the Speedport will default to IP 192.168.1.1 and is going to assign the AC1750 with an IP address on the WAN port of 192.168.1.2. (check at Gargoyle - Status - WAN IP Address) These are the only two IP addresses on the little network between the Speedport and the AC1750. You cannot use 192.168.1.X any where else.

Next go to
Gargoyle - Connection - Basic - Local Network / LAN
Router IP: 192.168.2.1
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

Gargoyle - Connection - DHCP
tick LAN DHCP Server Enabled
DHCP Range Start: 192.168.2.100
DHCP Range End: 192.168.2.249

All of the other devices on your network will need to connect to your AC1750 wired or wireless and they will get an IP address somewhere in this range

Can you help someone else get Gargoyle up and running?

Without any success. No Internet, no access to speedport, just access to Gargoyle.

Does the speedport support WAN connection?
can yo get you camera out and take some pictures of cables going into your routers.

most likely you are plugging into the wrong places?

First of all: Thank you so much for your support!

Unforntunately there seems to be no progress, may be I'm to stupid.

When ever I try to create two different networks (one between both routers, using 192.168.0.1 at LAN Speedport and ...0.2. at WAN Gargyole or, as described in nworbhnhoj's mail using 192.168.1.1at LAN Speedport and ...1.2 at WAN Gargyole and then for the second network, using 192.168.1.xxx or 192.168.2.xxx, for all devices (laptop, pc, ipod etc.), everything collapses. No access to routers, no access to the internet, after rebooting all equipment, still the same.

Only when DHCP is disabled on Gargoyle (as it alreagy is on Speedport) and using the LAN connection between Speedport and Gargoyle there is access to all routers from my PC und access to the internet. (Just the current time problem is still the same)

And now, after trying one last time as described in nworbhnhoj's mail I get really frustated, I can't reach my Gargoyle anymore. Even with direct connetcion via LAN to my PC no IP ...0.1. ...0.2, ...1.2 allows access.

What can I do? Anyway to reset the Gargyole router or another idea??

Umm

There are a few issues in your post

I assume we need double NAT

This being the case we need two subnets

192.168.1.x
192.168.0.x

The lack of screenshots/hardware pictures is not helping.

With out this information I would have to Google all the hardware listed and work out what is going on.

you can get back to square 1 by doing a failsafe reset.

We can almost certainly get you up and running but we need to see your configuration.
Pictures of both bits of hardware and how you have connected them.
And the settings page for both.

I can't submit Archer C7 settings. I tried to reset the router according the instructions on OpenWRT site, but I was not succesfull. LED was indicating failsafe modus, router was connected to LAN, IP on PC was set accordingl instruction, but I got no acces via routers IP address.

As mentioned in my previous post, the connection went lost, when setting the Archer into WAN mode and changing the IPs according the instructions from nworbnhoj to 192.168.2

I'm becoming desperate

Did you use Telnet to access the failsafe router?

we need a screenshot of the "DHCP" page on your speed port router

Cables are correct.

I suspect that a failsafe reset will fix your problems

Hurray,

everthing is fine. The problem was, that Speedport DHCP has to be enabled, otherwise there seems to be no connection with Gargoyle possible, but, having this enabled it caused conflicts with DCHP server on Gargyole. Now I switched DCHP server on speedport on but limited range just to deliver IP for Gargoyle WAN as static IP.

Here the screenshot of Gargyole status

Thank you very much for your support and the time you have spent

One last question (It's 2:23 a.m local time, I have to go to bed):
Now the Speedport is in another network with no direct access from my PC, because IP ranges are different, right?

What must I do,when I want access Speedport's settings
