From what I can tell there is v1.x and a v2.x of the TP Link TL-WR1043ND router. What are the pros and cons of v1.x vs. v2.x? Which router would give me better optimization options for the fastest network speeds?
Also, I currently have a D-Link DI-628 router, which is probably a little dated, so, would purchasing one of the above routers be a major upgrade, a minor upgrade, or a downgrade?

Re: TL-WR1043ND
When I ordered a TL-1043ND V1 about a year ago a V2 was delivered and it works very well with Gargoyle. I now use a TL-WDR3600 because it has a second USB port.

Note: The TL-WR1043ND v1.x does not deliver enough power for most USB 3G modems. See OpenWRT for details

Re: TL-WR1043ND
V2 has a faster CPU but if you can get the wdr3600 better all round IMO!
+ the wdr3600 can be overclocked.
