Plugin removal

Post by Tgarius »

I installed the pptp plugin to take a look then changed my mind, it will not uninstall from the gui, just flashes and comes back. I tried to uninstall with "opkg remove plugin-gargoyle-pptp" and I get a segmentation fault. This is on a buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH. I've had no other problems.

Not an uncommon problem.
You can manually remove it, and I can provide instruction if need be.

I tried to manually remove it with the package manager, are you meaning some other manual way?

Yes via an SSH terminal.

Basically by inspecting the files that gpkg creates. We can find what commands need to be run after removal, and find all the files that it added to the router and remove them.
I think it's all under /plugin_root.
