IMQ driver crash and system reboot with high traffic

Post by snakeleung »

When I use the Quota function with high traffic , the system crash and reboot.
In the same situation, when I try "ifconfig imq0 down",everything looks fine.
But when I try "ifconfig imq0 up" to start the IMQ again , the system crash and reboot.

Looks like your router is out of RAM?

How much RAM do you have and how many user connections are you supporting?
Linksys WRT1900ACv2
Netgear WNDR3700v2
TP Link 1043ND v3
TP-Link TL-WDR3600 v1
Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH2
WRT54G-TM

Could this crashing be related to this post regarding internet dropping when Quotas are enabled on the entire network and then throttled when that quota is reached?

I don't think so~ it crash in a very very very short time .It's impossible to reach the quota.

Hi Snakeleung,
Actually if you read the thread, it refers to the configuration of the quota. The quota was never reached in all cases referred to.
This is why I asked if it looks similar to that post.
It may be a similar issue...
Just trying to help...
