I can confirm that this is a problem with 1.7.0 and 1.7.1
Re: OpenVPN Server not running in 1.7.0
Okay. I seemed to have found a workaround. I have problems if I refresh with the new rom and then immediately reload my old config, but it seems to work if I refresh the rom, then start up the openvpn server to generate new keys, and then load in my old configuration.
The bug seems to be that loading in a backup file doesn't seem to set the bit that tells the system that keys have been generated for openvpn.

Re: OpenVPN Server not running in 1.7.0
Hi,
For my first look and testing OpenVpn works now fine on TPLink-1043ND and firmware 1.7.1.
But after the first router restart the router isn't responsible again like in the firmware versions before. I had to go in failsafe mode again to launch "firstboot".
Thanks for your help!

Re: OpenVPN Server not running in 1.7.0
When I look at the log file I see a line that says:
Options errors: You must define TUN/TAP device (--dev)
Can anyone tell me what this means and how to fix it?

Are you able to login to your Gargoyle router using ssh and post the output ofbrianm1962 wrote:When I look at the log file I see a line that says:

Code: Select all
uci show openvpn
Can you help someone else get Gargoyle up and running?
