OSX Geektool?

So, while Ive use the software for over a year I'd like to pick the brains of others.
What I'd like to do is create a geeklet that would show me the connected hosts from the gargoyle GUI. Honestly I have no idea how I would go about it but It would be easiest if there was a way to export to XML and have my system refresh it every so often (determined by the geeklet).
