Shutting down not throttling?

Post by birdirt »

G'day,

I purchased a router from Gargoyle with the software preinstalled, but when the quota is reached for each host, the Gargoyle screen appears stating 100% of the quota is reached, rather than the bandwidth being throttled?

When I check in the Quota, it is set to throttle at speeds I have set, but instead it simply shuts down the internet?

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Thanks, I hope this is what you are after. I set the Max Download to 1MB for testing.

Thanks,
Grant.

gargoyle version?

you could try a failsafe reset to double check for a bad config or install another firmware version which will do the same thing

Hi Birdirt

Because you purchased your router from Eric I think you should first contact him.

I see the problem in your screenshot. You set the upload bandwidth to 0kb/s when throttling is active which means no connection is going to be established, so everything is going to be cut off.
