cannot ping/enter on router after wrong setting

Post by oc2001 »

hi everyone
i've got a problem (big?) :x with my buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH v1 with gargoyle 1.5.6

some day go i changed my isp and with previous settings i can't reach isp's modem (thomson TG788vn_v2) so i tried everything from ppoe to static ip on connection, but nothing work (modem were connected to wan port of the router).so i tried to manually modify the script for adsl modem [ http://www.gargoyle-router.com/wiki/dok ... m&s[]=adsl this one ]
router is set to be 192.168.1.1
modem is setted (and i can't change it due to isp lock) to 192.168.1.254

my (bad) brain thinked that setting wan to 192.168.1.250 all would be fine.. so i edited with VI the script and rebooted the router.

lan give right ip (altough is very slow to give it, about 3 secs)
gui is not accessible via lan nor respond to ping

when pc is connected to wan port router does not give ip (fake ip 169.254.91.127)
if i set manual ip (like 192.168.1.254) then wan respond but cannot enter GUI

making a bridge between wan and lan and connecting to 1st lan port give long time to acquire ip but i can access to GUI... but only for some second

what i have to do?

already tried push reset button but seems it does not work
