I flashed my SamKnows WR1043ND box according to the tutorial here: http://chewkh27.blogspot.co.uk/2013/01/ ... tebox.html
My box says v1.10 and so I used:
gargoyle_1.6.1-ar71xx-generic-tl-wr1043nd-v1-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin
da43e8b0fd74243f4de80ec4a5f3cbd0
I transferred the .bin file to the uplink box via wget from a local ftp server on the connected computer.
The flash went well, was written and the device rebooted.
Since then, I am aware I need to access the web interface to activate wireless. But I am unable to do so.
LEDS
PWR = constant green light
USB = constant green light
WLAN/LAN = green light when cable is plugged in
No USB devices are connected.
I cannot connect to 192.168.1.1 and I have been unable to put the device into recovery state. QSS button bash does nothing. Wireshark shows no activity from 192.168.1.1.
What has happened? Is there anything else I can try?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks

I cannot enter recovery mode that way. I have tried using both QSS button and rear reset button hole.
So, I have ordered a TTL cable.

Re: WR1043ND: only PWR, USB leds (and WLAN/LAN led with cabl
Could the LEDs be mixed up somehow?
USB led seems to be behaving as SYS led should on my device in the state it is.

Can you ping 192.168.1.1?

No, I couldn't.
However, my serial cable has arrived so I will be trying that method soon.
