Thanks on the input ispyisail. I managed to flash the firmware on my dir-300, but I cannot access it. The router seems to be working OK wired and wireless, but I cannot configure it. Cannot access the router's os neither by the GUI (192.168.1.1) nor by any other mean. Anyone any idea on what can I do? Bricked? Maybe. Ping does not respond. Can see the router's name in wireless mode and connect to it, though.

My computer IP is manually set to 192.168.1.2 and the router's as on installation instructions to 192.168.1.1, is there a way to tell for sure the router's IP address.

I flash so may of these devices so i can't remember the exact procedure but your PC should set to obtain an IP address from your router (DHCP server). If you can't pull an IP address there might be something else wrong.

Check that forum post too!

You're sure you have the revision A of the DIR-300 right?
You should have revision A if you have redboot access.

Revision B changed the chipset to RaLink instead of Atheros.
