TP-Link MR3220 V2 Openwrt Huntsman to Gargoyle 1.6.0.2

I used OpenWRT R39076 (Huntsman 2014-01-25 red) here is the link for download page: http://ofmodemsandmen.com/downloads.html.

I want change it to gargoyle 1.6.0.2 and I found this link:

Questions:
-Can I directly flash Gargoyle on Openwrt?
-Do I need to restore my Factory Firmware from TP-link?
-Does the previous builds of gargoyle has the same features with this latest?
-What are the features?
