TP-Link 1043

Post by skaterboy1990 »

Hello,
i really got some problems and i have registered in this community because i need your help.

My Router is a TP-Link 1043. I flashed my Router using Gargoyle Version 1.6.
I just wanted to use the Tor Service for browsing onion adresses.

After i installed Gargoyle version 1.6 i saw that i didn´t found Tor Services when i went into connections.

So i connected via ssh and did this:
opkg update
opkg install tor...
It said getting tor data installing tor tor installed...done...

So i went back to gargoyle router page and saw that Tor doesnt appears.

I tried to install Tor Anomyzing services via the plugin page. It doesnt work....
I even cant downgrade to another Gargoyle version. If i select the firmware it is loading and loading and loading but nothing happens.
(router doesn´t restart or anything)

I dont know what i should do as a next step.

Just wanted to use tor for browsing onion adresses.

Please help me. I havent got any more ideas.

Best regards
skaterboy

You need to add TOR as a plugin to use the webgui.

Firstly remove TOR using the same method that you installed it with (opkg remove)

The in the webgui go to SYSTEM-PLUGINS

At the bottom of the page click on "REFRESH PLUGINS"

You should now see an option for "Tor Anonymizer Support for Gargolye"

Install this and then go to CONNECTIONS-TOR to configure. If TOR isn't available try logging out and back in to the webgui (or rebooting the router)

I have the same problem but I cannot update the plugins. Internet is working but with opkg update I get the message Couldn't retrieve Package list ...
When I want to refresh the plugins in the webgui it also doesn't work. I think the router doesn't connect to the internet in a right way.

The ADSL Router is connected to the the Linksys 1043 in one oft the 4 Lan Ports (not the internet port).
I tried the connection in the webgui with dhcp und staticIp. Both with the same result.

Has anybody an idea and can help me please. big thx
