Bricked WR841ND, need help with failsafe

Post by AznMega »

First, I have no idea what I did, this was an old router, still worked and all so I wanted to connect this as a wireless bridge to my new one. So I switched the connection to pppoe with the user name and password as both admin and set the lan ip to 192.168.2.1.
Everything was good until i did that.

Next thing that i knew was, I couldnt connect to it, its ip was set to 192.168.1.133 ( because its connected to my current router)

So I did a 30/30/30 reset on it so I could redo the process from the beginning again.

The default password doesnt work. So I thinked I bricked it. Now I'm searching all the forums about fail safe mode. I'm inexperienced with all these new terms and whatnot.

I'm trying to connect to it via puttytel when the sys light is flashing really fast. Doesnt work. Serial doesnt either. Recvsdp doesnt even respond. I dont understand what 'listen on the udp 4919 port' means from http://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/howto/generic.failsafe.
Please someone help me.
