I noticed you added part of this post to the documentation. You should probably add build-essentials to the list of packages to install. What I mean is, add the following above libgtk2.0-dev:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install build-essentials
That will add all the normal code needed to MAKE anything. The other two were specific to Gargoyle.

Thanks!

Well, I've installed version 10.0.14, and that has solved the switch issues. The only thing I've noted now is that I don't seem to be able to connect wirelessly with NO security. As soon as I went to WPA PSK (first I've tested) I had a wireless connection. Works great!

Thanks

Can you please clarify what you mean by "connect wirelessly" ? Are you talking about setting up the router as an access point, as a routed client or as a bridge?

I just tested one of my Fons (which also has an atheros chip), with 1.0.14 as an AP with no encryption and it seems to work fine.

I'm using the router as an access point.
When using no encryption/protection, the laptop sees the router (bssid is working), and attempts to connect. It requests DHCP, but never gets a response. It doesn't seem to timeout either. I'm not 100% sure the problem is on the router side either. :P

It isn't a problem for me, however, as I intended to use encryption anyway.

Can you add a feature to unmask the key/password for encryption?

Thanks again!

What I always did was have Notepad open and type any thing
I wanted as a password in there first, then just did a cut/paste

That way I knew for sure it was typed correctly, and I could
store the file on a USB key to move to other computers
