Hi
I'm running Gargoyle 1.5.9 on a TP-LINK WDR3600. The WDR3600 is in PPPoE mode, and is connected to a Belkin N300 in modem mode. Everything's working great, except that I can't get ports to forward successfully. UPnP works in that entries show up in the table, but connections are not forwarded. I can set up a port forward manually, but again connections are not forwarded.
I initially had the N300 set up normally with the WDR3600 in its DMZ, but that didn't work either.
Can anyone help me troubleshoot?

Re: Port forwarding
Post a screen shot of your status screen (the whole thing). Then tell us what port you are trying to forward and why. Finally, tell us what testing you have done to conclude that no port forwards work.

Re: Port forwarding
Thanks for replying so quickly! Here's my status screen:
I'm trying to use BitTorrent at the moment, but the port forwarding isn't working in Vuze, uTorrent or Transmission. Here's the ports that are set up with UPnP right now:
My computer is 192.168.1.10, and the firewall tester in Vuze reports that port 55620 isn't open. ShieldsUp confirms this.
I've also tried manually forwarding 55620 to 192.168.1.10 (my computer) when UPnP didn't work, which didn't change anything. Note that I've reserved an IP for my computer.
I've also tried setting Simple Port Tester to listen on port 1000, forwarding that port manually to my computer, and using the tester, which also reported that the port was closed. Here's how I set up the port forwarding:
What else would you like to know?

Re: Port forwarding
I have a suspicion that this problem is not with your router. There are no active complaints from other users that they do not work and I myself use both uPnP and forwards.
In addition , the presence of the forwards you want in the uPnP list on your router is a very strong indication that the router is forwarding those ports.
So what to do. The first thing would be to turn off any anti-virus or firewall program on the 1.10 computer.
The next is to check for port forwards using a smart phone and a web site like http://videos.cctvcamerapros.com/check- ... rding-tool. When doing this manually forward the port to the phone temporarily.
If that does not work hook that computer directly to the modem and see if you can get your programs to work. If it is an XP computer I found a note on how to setup a PPPoe connection here. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/283070. Do not change the modem out of bridge mode it si currently in, that is the mode you want.
Hopefully some clues will result from the above. Report your results here.

Re: Port forwarding
Before I got the WDR3600 all the computers could forward ports with UPnP just fine, and I haven't changed any configuration on them. Would it be a good idea to back up my settings, restore the factory firmware and see if the issue is still present then?
My suspicion is that the problem lies with the modem, but I'm not sure how to troubleshoot it.

Re: Port forwarding
Well what I suggest you do is what I said above.
If you want to do additional things feel free but please do the above.
After you have done that we will evaluate where we are at.

Re: Port forwarding
Sorry for the delay, I was waiting for a time when no-one would mind the internet dropping out.
Anyway, in the process of fixing another issue, I found that disabling the DoS protection on the modem fixed my issues. Thanks for your help!
