Hi,
I'm new to Gargoyle and I'd like to be certain about a few things before I flash my TL-WR1043ND. I'm currently using the stock firmware.
I've read countless threads about hardware versions for these routers, in the WebGUI of my router:
Status
Firmware Version: 3.13.4 Build 110429 Rel.36959n
Hardware Version: WR1043ND v1 00000000
However, the sticker that is physically on (bottom) my router says
Model: TL-WR1043ND ver:1.8
S/N: 11.........
My question is, which hardware version do I have? Which Gargoyle firmware file should I flash?
Can I config this as a wireless repeater bridge(like DD-WRT) with Gargoyle?
My main reason for flashing Gargoyle is for the VPN feature. I've got an old Buffalo running Tomato with VPN configured, but it doesn't have enough CPU or RAM for the VPN (takes a decade to open webpages even)

Re: TL-WR1043ND Hardware version
I flashed German firmware >> Gargoyle 1.59 successfully, all is good, EXCEPT...VPN.
According to my VPN service provider's DD-WRT tutorial, I need to enable LZO compression, how is this done in Gargoyle?? Is it possible to run commands or firewall rules like in DD-WRT?
Thanks.
