13 channel

Post by GoUser »

I have TL-WR841N(D) with original firmware. There is a posibility to use 12 and 13 channel. So I went onto 13 channel and I can have speed up to 30 Mbit/s instead of 8-12 on other channels (I think because of interference, there some alien access points around).
Is it too unstable to use 13 channel in gargoyle? It would be awsome if we could use this channel.
Thanks.

Yes indeed the regulatory.bin in openwrt is broken and i filed several bugreports without reaction. On the end of this thread is a simple solution by replace the broken file.

It works on gargoyle too. Means it give the channels that are allowed in the country domain.

You are showing a working solution but I think your understanding of the problem is wrong. As far as I know regulatory.bin is correct and distribution of replacement file could be against regulations in many countries.

Wow, great!, thanks Hanselan-DE. I'll test that.
Do you mean I'll be able to select 12, 13 channel in Gargoyle user interface?

        libm.so.0 => /lib/libm.so.0 (0x2aad6000)
        libgcc_s.so.1 => /lib/libgcc_s.so.1 (0x2aaff000)

        ld-uClibc.so.0 => /lib/ld-uClibc.so.0 (0x2aaa8000)
root@Gargoyle:~# regdbdump /usr/lib64/crda/regulatory.bin
