Gargoyle reports active connections for a device that is off

In /hosts.sh I can still see my phone with active connections (3 of them) reported not only after I turn its Wifi off, but even when the whole phone is off. The information is still there after a few minutes. It eventually goes down to 2, and maybe they will all subside eventually. My phone is definitely not connected. What are those connections?

Unless your phones close their connections they will remain open on the router until they time out which will take many minutes.
