Re: bufferbloat
Found an intresting pdf (see link below) about bufferbloat that actually mentions the Gargoyle firmware been very close to working correctly, but having issues with 802.11 bufferbloat.
Is this document still up to date in regards to Gargoyle since it was created on February 21, 2011 and I know many new fixes and features are placed into the firmware.

Re: bufferbloat
Gargoyle does a good job of controlling the issue Getty is discussing on the WAN link (named bufferbloar by him). I would say that Gargoyle is state of the art in this regard. Getty would also like such things controlled on the LAN side and expeciically the Wifi.
This has not been done in Gargoyle yet. But it is secondary to good control of the WAN link.
If you are interested in controlled RTT then Gargoyle is your only real choice.

Re: bufferbloat
I am currently using Gargoyle 1.5.8 on my WNDR3700v1 and its definatly made the router more reliable and responsive in general compared to the stock firmware.
Excellent job by the Gargoyle staff
