Re: Version 1.5.8 - USB Storage with FTP
Sorry, I can't help you. I'd give it a couple more days. This is not a large community but I have always found help here- or at least information if an issue remains unresolved at the moment. Overall, Gargoyle has provided the best combination of features, stability and usability for me. Thanks and keep up the good work!

You are not paranoid... they are out to get you!!!marvinandro wrote:One more detail I missed to post about. My phone (Galaxy Nexus) stopped connecting to the wifi so I turned off its wifi setting. About 30 mins later I saw its entry still under Connected Wireless Hosts. Shouldn't it have dropped from the list completely? Also, it shows "1" under Bitrate. All other clients show Bitrate between 52 and 108.
PS. As a side note, I keep getting this
Hosts With Active Connections:
Hostname Host IP Host MAC Active TCP Cxns Recent TCP Cxns UDP Cxns
(unknown) 7.22.28.1 unknown 0 0 1
Why am I being connected to the DoD network? Yet, Current Connections never shows any 7.* entries? Now, I'm getting paranoid!

Happens to other people as well.
Do you do any torrents or is someone in your house doing torrents?
Those things are always tracked so don't use torrents.
As far as the router remembering hosts - try a reboot and see
if that clears the active connection
The bitrate shown is probably the last speed used and a
bitrate of 1 usually means connected but idle mode
i.e. not using any bandwidth - just maintaining a connection

Gargoyle, OpenWRT, and DD-WRT are all opensource andmarvinandro wrote:Unfortunately, I got no help on this. Overall, the support from the community is so little that I'm seriously considering to flash another firmware - the question is, who support their stuff nowadays - dd-wrt isn't better, nor is the vendor.
donate-ware (donate if you feel you want to help the project/devs)
This is NOT a full-time job for the developers, they do this because
they want a firmware that they can modify to their needs, to help
out the public with better firmware than provided by the manufacturer,
and hopefully for the fun of it as well.
Their are MILLIONS of users out there, and maybe thousands of
developers working on these firmwares, including manufacturers, so
it is very hard for them to support every single thing that can cause
issues in router firmwares. They do usually fix issues, but it can
take time and a lot of testing to re-produce the same issues on
their end. If you cannot have patience or do your own testing or
try and resolve the issues yourself, you should not be flashing
third party firmware - stick with the OEM firmware.

Re: Version 1.5.8 - USB Storage with FTP
No complaints about the community from me. I was just curious if anyone else had had this problem with this version (1.5.8) and if there was a solution. Thanks for your replies. I will see what I can figure out and check back as well. Thanks.

I don't see anyone complaining or expecting anything. I only stated that the traffic in the forum is low, compared let's say to the latest thread on jelly beans 4.2... or dd-wrt in the days wrt54g was new. Times change, I'm back to 1.5.6 and it's rock solid for what it offers.
