Copying to USB Drive while downloading impacts upload speed

Post by kingwaffle »

When downloading using sabnzbd, I often extract straight to my external hard drive that is connected to the USB port on the back of my WNDR-3700, when one download completes and the other fires, my upload speed to the drive on the USB port caps out around 5 MB/s. If I pause the second download that has just started, the upload speed doubles and peaks around 10MB/s.

I don't know if I am reaching a hardware limitation somewhere, or if it is a firmware bug.

Anyone else notice this?

Take a look at your router CPU usage, I am guessing you are hitting the cpu limit to process the work load.

PM me if you need to buy Gargoyle router in Australia/NZ, willing to pay me to help you on your Gargoyle configurations or build custom configured ROM with pre-installed app or try to fix your bricked router. Yes, I am looking for job/work.
