strange entries in Recently Visited Sites

Post by para-noid »

I was using gargoyle 1.5.4 for months until suddenly all my rules appeared to be renamed as rule_1 rule_2 and so on. Therefore I decided to upgrade to 1.5.7.

That version failed to run on my WRT841ND and I had to downgrade again to 1.5.6

As I have no backup of the old settings, I am still on my way to make up all those settings again. When I checked the Recently Visited Sites I noticed some strange entries, that I have never seen bevore. Like this:

Local Host Last Access Time Website
PS3 10/26 21:17:30 getprof.de.np.community.playstation.net
PS3 10/26 21:29:44 static-resource.np.community.playstation...
PC1 10/27 7:35:23 xyzknyxwfz
PC1 10/27 7:35:23 fuxuqxuyvp
PC1 10/27 7:35:24 yjfuusivft
PC1 10/27 7:35:40 log.client.akadns.net
PC1 10/27 7:45:34 www.google.com

When PC1 is started there are always such strange connections. If I click on them the connection to such hosts as xyzknyxwfz is not possible. Of course.

Does anyone know, what these connections are? Does gargoyle log only successful connections here? As xyzknyxwfz contains no valid domain, why is this recorded here? What does it mean, when a computer connects to log.client.akadns.net at startup automatically?

For me this looks like rootkit, botnet or something. But the computer is fresh installed.
