WNDR3700 cannot login after 1.5.8 flash

I just flashed my WNDR3700 with 1.5.8. Flashing went ok. I logged in using default password then i tried to restore it from my previous 1.5.7 backup.
After reboot, i cannot log into router using my old password or default. It also did not come back up on the saved LAN IP segment that i had it set for.

Now what ?

For others, i did the following as listed in another thread, and it took care of it.

Power up your router. When the 'SYS' light starts to blink, press and hold the QSS button on the right side of the front panel until the blinking of 'SYS' LED gets faster.

Telnet into 192.168.1.1 where you will get immediate access to root shell/prompt. Authentication won't be required.

From telnet, run the command "firstboot"

I had exactly the same problem with a WNDR3800, followed the advice given here and was able to successfully recover.
