Precompiled images using bleeding edge OpenWRT?

Post by Blue Ion »

Hi, first, I wanted to thank you about this excelent frontend for OpenWRT, that while simple, it just works.

After all, all I want to do is set up La Fonera to act as a simple USB wifi stick but without the USB and driver nightmare.

Anyways, I have some problems with the device. For example, when transfering stuff from wifi to the lan, the soft irq cpu use skyrockets to 100% bottlenecking the connection, peaking at 1 mb per second when it should be able to reach 1,5 mb.
I've overclocked the thing at 200 mhz and now I get to 1,3 mb, but now I think if transfer takes too long, it overheats and the speed goes down to 512 kb.

Since these are OpenWRT problems, my suggestions is If you could do experimental builds using the bleeding edge builds of OpenWRT since I believe that these issues are already fixed on the trunk.

Again, thanks.
