Greetings. I have a simple question... I bought a new router and already run Gargoyle on my current setup. Can I dump the configuration backup file and bring it over to my new router when it arrives? Part of me wants to say yes, but also part of me wants to say no.
FWIW, I'm going from a WZR-HP-G300NH -> WNDR3700-100NAS
Thanks.

Re: Transfer cfg file between two different routers
Listen to the part of you that says NO
Not advisable at all
At best it'll just work really badly
At worst you'll have to recover via failsafe/tftp mode
Don't transfer configs between different routers.
I wouldn't even do this between same models of routers as there
are MAC id's stored in these configs.

2x Asus RT-N16 = Asus 3.0.0.4.374.43 Merlin
2x Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH V1 A0D0 = Gargoyle 1.9.x / LEDE 17.01.x
2x Engenius - ESR900 Stock 1.4.0 / OpenWRT Trunk 49400

Yep, kind of figured that. Better safe than sorry.
I'll just print-screen the configs and redo them.
Thanks for the reply!
