[Solved]Bricked WR1043ND

Post by jorgemiguel4 »

So my router bricked today when upgrading from Gargoyle 1.5.3 to 1.5.4.

Failsafe doesn't work and sys led is completely off.

Any ideias to recover my router?

Regards

edit:

I have a functional MR3420, it's possible to use it to recover the other one via serial port?
That's my ideia... but I don't know if works.

Follow that thread and included links.

You need to use a PC to do the recovery, not another router.

You'll also need a serial to TTL converter USB cable
 Soylent Green Is People!
2x Asus RT-N16 = Asus 3.0.0.4.374.43 Merlin
2x Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH V1 A0D0 = Gargoyle 1.9.x / LEDE 17.01.x
2x Engenius - ESR900 Stock 1.4.0 / OpenWRT Trunk 49400

Hello, thank you for reply.

I'm waiting for a USB<->TTL cable... hope it works.
