Most powerful router with gargoyle support

I just upgraded my internet from 32mb to 100mb. My router wndr3700 was running fine at 32mb but at 100mb the interface slows down and the loads are high, 3.95 / 3.02 / 1.74 (1/5/15 minutes). So im looking for a better replacement for wndr3700 to get the best out of my internet.

Is it possible to use pc as a router? I built a nas with more horsepower than it needs, if i can use as a router, i can save some money.

I see the cpu is the same as wndr3700, the difference is it can be overclocked. Is it also possible to overclock wndr3700?

Gargoyle is using OpenWRT underneath.

Qos was the one that causing the high loads if anybody wants to know. Without qos the load is only 0.4 and i can get my full speed. My new line speed is stable and the line dont often get saturated so the need for qos is not too important to me. Gonna stick with my router for now but looking forward for support for high end routers such as wndr4500 and asus rt-n56u

using x86 500Mhz PC as router is the option of mine.. and currently driving gargoyle with 128mb of RAM and uses 0.00% of cpu process. but 30 watts of power drawn in my electricity..

Broadcom BCM2835. This contains an ARM1176JZFS, with floating point, running at 700Mhz

It will also have 256mb memory.

Just not sure on the logistics with using a devvide like this or a pc to do your routing?

It is not on the list of supported routers for openwrt, so I would not risk to buy it myself: http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/start

The raspberry pi is a project to bring raw computing back to school children at an affordable rate, but as a result they have produced a box that at a minimum will be a very cheap media/file server but potentially could be much more - all for £30 ish!
