madwifi on x86 with ar5212 minipci card

hello

i download gargoyle from git and compiled a firmware for the x86 branch with madwifi driver for my ar5212 card.....

but since gargoyle is using the very old madwifi branch i get a lot of this error

wifi0: ath_chan_set: Unable to reset channel 6 (2437 MHz) flags 0xd0 'Hardware d idn't respond as expected' (HAL status 3)

x86 is not in the supported routers list

I doubt you will get official support but you never know.......

ispyisail: Actually, it is. These are the Alix builds. They're tailored for a specific x86 board which is really small called "Alix" boards, and I tend not to test quite as heavily on this platform (since fewer people own them)... but it is supported.

no i build a firmware for x86 generic not alix and it works fine except for the wireless which keepes on giving this error

i think it is beacuse like openwrt gargoyle to is using the old madwifi....

i tried recently the ddwrt x86 trial build and i must say it is rock solid stable with theire madwifi version is it because the used the newest madwifi version ?????

ath5k is not good for me askeep getting disconnected when i download heavy with ath5k

Gargoyle and OpenWRT backfire includes the newest stable version af madwifi.
that is version 0.9.4, I know this is four years old, but it is the stable version. But there is made changes to madwifi from within openwrt.

Seems to be a problem with OpenWRT 10.03.1
