Thanks RomanHK.

I've seen the power blinking behaviour before. In fact, I've actually managed to recover my Dir 835 using fail safe mode a week back...

Unfortunately I may have messed things up using the button yesterday. Today, no button blinks the same way I've seen it on my two other Gargoyle routers...

Hey ispyisail, thanks for the advice.

I believe I'm heading that way, but I'd have to buy one first.

I'm holding out a little hope that there's a special feature of the Hornet UB that I'm not aware of that may yet save the day..

be careful when you buy a serial cable that you can get 64bit windows 10 drivers

The cheap serial cables only have 32bit windows xp drivers

Cheers for the warning ispisail. As I use 64 bit Linux, would that still be the appropriate cable?
