Re: OpenVPN Question

Post by alienheartbeat »

Its very tough trying to work this stuff out without being able to test things. I had to mess around for a day to get it to work properly. As mentioned in the 2nd post I am not using credential re-use, as I found it simpler without. Sounds like you need to set up a small test environment.

Agree that the alt is to get sample files from someone with a similar setup. As mentioned in the 2nd post I am not using credential re-use.

With credential re-use I think you have to specify IP addresses. Anyhow, I would need to be able to use the same files as I am building connectivity into some firmware which of course cannot be re-compiled for each client.

Does anyone have a setup which is handing out Dynamic IPs? Would be great to see the following config files:
/etc/config/openvpn_gargoyle
/etc/openvpn/server.conf
