... is out. Any plans to release a new Gargoyle beta based on the RC?

The short answer: yes, but not Beta 3. Right now, I'm coding/testing like a maniac trying to meet the deadline I set for myself.
After Beta 3 is released migration to the new OpenWrt release will be my top priority. While Beta 3 will focus on access restriction functionality, the subsequent release will focus on this migration and with polishing/fixing bugs. This next release, which you can (probably) expect some time in January will be the first release candidate of Gargoyle.
