Print Server Spool?

Post by chall3ng3r »

Hello,

I have a Samsung USB printer, and was able to connect it with my WRT1200AC router with v1.11RC5.

When printer is on, it shows the printer and I am able to send prints from my home-office devices to printer without issues.

When printer goes in sleep mode / auto power off, the prints are kept on client devices, local spool.

What I want is to router's print server to have a spool and accept prints even printer is offline. So a person can send the print from his desk, can turn off PC, and get to printer room to turn on printer, collect the print.

Is this possible? or I should be happy with non-spool print server?

1. Unfortunately, p910nd does not support spool, works directly.
2. Memory may be a problem.

Thanks for your reply,

Previously I connected my printer to Windows server which is file server, auto PC backup server etc. I guess, I'll have to wire printer back to it again.
