Read that thread on how to MOD the firmware to allow other channels

Not hard to do - just read the whole thread through and you
will find all the links / instructions you need

Fantastic. That explains a lot.

I guess I can try using AES-256 instead.

Someone should probably remove the BF-256 option from the Gargoyle OpenVPN ciphers dropdown for now.

I have verified that AES-256 works properly with the OpenVPN iOS client V1.0.1 Build 88

I have been able to partially fix my issues with my Note 2 on my wndr3700v2 by disabling wmm on the router, this has fixed the 2.4 GHz band from dropping, still not auto connecting to the 5 GHz but I can live with it now. Some have had issues with slower speeds especially on the 5 GHz by doing this, I have not noticed anything yet. This link is what helped me out: https://forum.openwrt.org/viewtopic.php?id=27953

Hi,

Since the previous versions I have noticed the first days of using the wireless it is more stable. But after some days using it starts crashing. This new version it doesnt occur so frequently, but it still occurs. During the first week I didnt have any issue. After the first week instead, I noticed wireless dropping at least twice a week. How can I check what is happening? logread?

I'm using TP-LINK WR1043ND.

logread or dmesg There may a way to use the iw command line tool to get the interface into monitor mode, but I don't really know enough to provide guidance.
