thank you sregi :-) much appreciated.

I have loaded this version onto TP-Link TL-WR1043N/ND v2 and successfully configured a Huawei E160E modem plugged into the USB port. ie the 3G (GSM) option is available and functional in this version.

I will build up the remainder of my config and test.
Can you help someone else get Gargoyle up and running?

TL-WR1043ND-V2 : Gargoyle 1.8.0 : 3G Huawei E160E

This version loaded successfully and resolved the issue with the missing 3G (GSM) option.

Device Name:Gargoyle
Gargoyle Version:1.7.X (Built 20150109-0720 git@da35789)
Model:TP-Link TL-WR1043N/ND v2
Device Configuration:Gateway
Memory Usage:17.4MB / 60MB (29%)
Connections:174/4096
CPU Load Averages:0.12 / 0.13 / 0.13 (1/5/15 minutes)

My configuration/testing touched on the following features:
  • 3G (GSM) WAN connection with Huawei E160E modem
  • DHCP - Static IP's
  • Quota's with IP ranges
  • QOS upload & download
  • Plugins - logread & TOR (see below)
  • Backup/Restore
  • Update Firmware (able to roll back to 1.6.2)
I was unable to load the TOR plugin. I have had a very similar problem with 1.6.2 http://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/vi ... f=6&t=6428 However, this time a failsafe reset made no difference.
Can you help someone else get Gargoyle up and running?

Hi, I bricked my router with this update. It's TP-Link WR1043ND-V1, I succesfully upgraded to 1.7.0 and tried this update with preserve settings enabled. I used the file gargoyle_1.7.x-ar71xx-generic-tl-wr1043nd-v1-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin. After the upgrade there was reboot and my tp-link doesn't startup anymore. Anything I can do now ?

No luck. I even tried recvdupd.exe with udp sniffing. The LED's are working - PWR ON and every port I put the cable in. SYS LED is OFF.
telnet 192.168.1.1 doesn't work

Being unable to use either link, I wondered if you have considered bittorrent as a third download alternative, for providing a more platform agnostic means of distribution for your testing releases?

I did indeed think about that

Gargoyle needs a bittorrent server/client :)

Hello I am a new Gargoyle user but I am using this latest build already.
I found that if I add new port range forward rule, it can save it occasionally.
The worst case is all port rules deleted after I press save button.
I am using Firefox 34.0.5 to config it.
