Installation wavemon
Hi all, forgive my bad English.
I open this post, to advise the installation of the package "wavemon" to monitor the signal through Console. and so can adjust much more comfortable and more accurately the router.
if someone has it already installed, please say how.
I installed this package,>
http://foro.seguridadwireless.net/softw ... mikaze)-)/
Download package http://sites.google.com/site/lsdios/fon ... edirects=0
Where it says "meter-wifi, tar, gz" which includes wavemon for OpenWrt. but I guess that is good for gargoyle, since that is specific for Fonera.
greetings and thanks!

Re: Installation wavemon
What router do you have?
I was able to install Wavemon with OpenWRT installed
Did these commands:
opkg update
opkg install wavemon
opkg install libcap
These should install and configure on their own
To run:
/usr/bin/wavemon
Should also work in Gargoyle.
I suspect your router has to have at least 4MB flash and 16+MB Ram
This worked on a DIR-601 with 4MB Flash / 32MB Ram

Hi, thanks for responding again.
I have a router TP-Link TL-WR741ND with 1.5.3 gargoyle
I would love to install that package that I used to guide the router.
A greeting.

Re: Installation wavemon
Your router does not have enough memory or space available.
The WR741N image is about 3.6MB
The DIR-601 image is about 3.1MB
So my router has space available to install packages.
Your router does not. You would need a router with 8MB flash
in order to install Wavemon if you stick with the TP-Link routers.

You MIGHT be able to get it installed using the OpenWRT 10.03.1 image
Gargoyle adds more space, so you don't have enough flash left with
the Gargoyle firmware.
Plain OpenWRT firmware should allow you to install Wavemon with
the instructions I posted above.
