Settings page to setup aliases for IP-adresses

Post by Wild Rat »

If you have NAT or printer with web-interface, or WebCam, etc. - it may be convenient to have some easy name to address them. For example Gargoyle has "gargoyle.lan" to login into router. It be wonderful to have plugin (or even factory included) page in setup to make such aliases like "somedomain.lan = 127.0.0.1" to use in whole local network on any device.

I’m pretty sure this already works.
Anything defined on the dhcp page can be accessed at <name>.lan

I just tested and I can access my NAS at 192.168.1.15 OR http://NAS.lan as per the DHCP assignment.
