TP-Link WR1043 Wifi dropping
On gargoyle 1.4.2, 1.4.3 and 1.5.0 I'm having issues with WiFi dropping/instability. The only way to get WiFi back is to reboot the router.
I am not experiencing issues with WiFi on OpenWRT RC5. Just flashed to RC6 today, so have no input on it yet.

Went back to RC5, having the same issues on RC6 that I have with Gargoyle. RC5 is rock frickin stable though.

What's your router's hardware version? Is it 1.8?

Yes it is 1.8. The wiki page is a little funny. I get blazing performance on openwrt rc5. But have WiFi issues with rc6. Maybe it was a bad flash....
Re: TP-Link WR1043 Wifi dropping
Does the entire router crash, or just wifi just stop working? Can you still access the router if you are connected to a lan ethernet port when the wifi crashes?

It's definitely just WiFi, if I'm on one of my desktops or server when this happens I never notice it.
Re: TP-Link WR1043 Wifi dropping
When you notice this, if you ssh into the router and run logread, do you see weird errors related to wifi? You might be able to google whatever you are seeing and probably other people have the same problem. If not, you might as well post it here, and maybe even open a bug report with OpenWRT.

I'll flash back to gargoyle when I get home and run logread when WiFi drops.
Re: TP-Link WR1043 Wifi dropping
Eric has updated the wifi drivers on the SVN
You can try an un-offical build at your own risk

@OP-
I am having the same results on a WZR-HP-G300NH (which has the same wireless radio as the 1043ND).
What I'm seeing is wireless dropouts at random intervals... as you mentioned it's only wireless and I wouldn't notice any problem if I wasn't onthe wireless.
I also had rock-solid performance on OpenWRT backfire RC5.
@ispyisail I'm open to testing SVNs ony my hardware but that link points to a thread on Tor? I can't search the board for "svn" as the search string is too short...
