TP-Link 4300 v1 slow

Post by ecbrad »

Hi guys. Been using Gargoyle for years and love it. However I cannot seem to get full speed on my cable connection.

Gargoyle Version 1.8.1
Line speed is 35Mbps
However I was only getting 3Mbps
I disabled default Qos downloads and it jumped to 4.5Mbps

If I bypass the Gargoyle router and go direct to the cable modem I get 10Mbps

Is there anything I can do? I upgraded to 1.9.2 and no change.

This is all via ethernet btw

Cheers

The default speed on QoS is 3mbps. Did you change this setting?

I didn't touch it. I didn't realise the default setting was 3Mbps. I disabled it and still the best I get is 4.5Mbps not the 10Mbps I would get if I bypass the gargoyle router.

Please share details of your connection and how everything is wired together.

Pictures of your settings would be useful also.
I'd start with a bare setup of Gargoyle, no features enabled, just connected.
