Professorpip,
Do you happen to have a link to the instructions that worked for building Gargoyle for x86? I am interested to build it not for a USB but to run in a VM to test and eventually via USB.
Thanks!

Zyxel C3000Z (and other Zyxel products)
Lantis, et alia: I would like to know how difficult it might be to get Gargoyle to run on a Zyxel C3000Z (Century Link version of their AC2200)? I started researching the hardware here and also emailed Zyxel in Taiwan and they sent me a link to their source code (Linux Real Time code), and instructi...

New version of Gargoyle
Forum members,
I have not yet had a chance to backup and upgrade my router to 1.12 as yet and am wondering, does the new version of Gargoyle have the WDS functionality that (I think?) is now part of OpenWRT as well?
Thanks to everyone as always for a wonderful firmware!

Re: Gargoyle on ProxMox - Passthrough a device
I apologise that the default x86 image doesn't meet your needs or expectations. It isn't stated anywhere that it has wireless capability. It was born from the ALIX profile which is a wired only device subset. I did that just to give it a bit more usability and utility (i.e able to support more than...

Re: Gargoyle on ProxMox - Passthrough a device
RomanHK, What is the difference between opkg and gpkg? I was using opkg. Are they the same thing? I installed all this stuff and it made zero difference. In the end the wireless network never showed up on the air and not a single device ever saw it broadcast an SSID. I appreciate all the assistance ...

Re: Gargoyle on ProxMox - Passthrough a device
RomanHK, When I boot the environment I am able to type in lsmod and see the drivers, I am able to type ifconfig -a | grep -i wlan0 and see the device. It seems to be part of the br-lan so that is the way it seems it can be accessed. However, it seems not to be transmitting at all anyway, so I think ...

I wasn't offended and neither were you, it is all fine.
I always tell people: if you want to offend me, be prepared to work hard at it as I have rather thick skin.

Oh come on, everyone realized you were being sarcastic about posting Google Translate. So, I just followed up with a sarcastic response.

Re: Gargoyle on ProxMox - Passthrough a device
Is there an English version of this website? Use Google translate You silly rabbit! I was asking if there was an already constructed English variant of the website, not how to translate it! You would be well served to read more carefully what people are actually articulating! Thanks for the info, s...

Re: Gargoyle on ProxMox - Passthrough a device
The default is Polish, but you can switch the language to English and other languages can be installed. I was able to get it installed and booting, changed the language to English and got the iwlwifi driver for 8265 / 8275 WiFi card installed via opkg. Moreover, it is now loading the driver as inst...
