I use both. QoS and Quotas.

But i have bandwidth limit too, so i need enforce some limit.

SAME problem here, but with my niece. >.< I have 10 MB for many peoples/devices. How i resolve: Fixed one IP on MAC device. (I already fix all IP on MAC) In Quotas i set: Up: 8 MByte Down: 87 MByte Then i go to /etc/config/firewall Edit in the quota option reset_interval '300' Every 5 min the device...

Find your gateway and leave 100000 ping 1/s on it.
Analyze the result looking for instabilities.
QoS use this basic procedure to balance yourself.

This router is 'mania' here in Brazil.
Some websites made a lot ( and exaggerated, in my opinion) of positives reviews. They are selling a lot.
