Re: WNDR3700v4 Wireless Dropouts *UPDATE*

Yeah I did see a few of those posts, it was late night when I was reading them and meant to go back to them but haven't yet, thanks for the info 👍 As it would happen, my wifi dropped again last night, there is really nothing in the logs of any indication - last thing before it dropped was my DDNS up...

Re: WNDR3700v4 Wireless Dropouts *UPDATE*

OK so my wifi dropped out again last night. It was in use at the time. I say that because I had considered if it was being caused by my devices sleeping and having no active connections. Went to my logs and there is nothing of any indication :( The last activity was updates to ddns and immediately a...

Re: WNDR3700v4 Wireless Dropouts *UPDATE*

I used this file: gargoyle_1.12.x-ar71xx-nand-wndr3700v4-ubi-factory.img In the update page of the Netgear GUI, same way I've always done it. Previously I would update or change gargoyle firmwares in the Gargoyle GUI using the sysupgrade.tar version. There was no real reason to go back to the Netgea...

Re: WNDR3700v4 Wireless Dropouts *UPDATE*

I'm on channel 11 but previously tried a few different channels (1,6,11 and 5) but still had the same issue. I usually have 3 devices connected via WiFi, and very occasionally another 2. WiFi still hasn't dropped since my last post so I'm happy with that, if it does drop again, I'll capture my logs ...

Re: WNDR3700v4 Wireless Dropouts *UPDATE*

Just though I'd give a quick update, I was on the stock build of 1.12 and still getting dropouts with the wireless. Still able to restore it by issuing "wifi up" in the console but was looking for a longer-term fix. I couldn't get my head round the scripting to use ping watchdog so here's ...

Re: WNDR3700v4 Wireless Dropouts *UPDATE*

Hello :) OK so I'm no further forward with this :( Fresh install of 1.12 and still getting wireless dropouts, I can restart it by issuing the command "wifi up" and it returns to normal but it's becoming a bit of a pain if I am not at home. Is there anything else I can provide you with apar...

Re: WNDR3700v4 Wireless Dropouts *UPDATE*

Yeah I thought the enforced DHCP might be problematic so I have manually configured the addresses in each of my devices and removed them from the DHCP settings page. I have also checked for option disassoc_low_ack '0' which was already present. I will be monitoring for any further dropouts and will ...

Re: WNDR3700v4 Wireless Dropouts *UPDATE*

If you often disconnect the WiFi client due to no activity, you need to set the client "power save" - this will increase the battery consumption. It varies on each system and sometimes it is necessary to use the application. Sorry do you mean on my actual devices like "allow this dev...

Re: WNDR3700v4 Wireless Dropouts *UPDATE*

At some point you will need to do a fresh router reset. Its a pain in the butt but fixes 50% of all problems (In my opinion) Don't use a backup file or preserve settings Thanks for the reply - the config was a clean install done only hours earlier. I had set up the following things, in this order: ...
