Hello,
I've just installed 1.13.0.x gargoyle-ispy 2020-November-15 06
And doing the initial setup there is no option to enable 5ghz, only 2.4ghz
is visble in the config page.
Am I missing a trick here or have I missed something out?
Many thanks

Re: PXE SERVER?
Lush, thanks for the effort you have gone to in your reply - very much appreciated, I'll get back to you with results
I have learned a lot about pxe in the last week or so - I currently have a pxe server running on my nas hosting various system images, next step is to move that to the router

Re: PXE SERVER?
Ah that's good to know :) Would you be kind enough to show me how to make those edits please? I figure I'll learn the process using Linux on my way to my ultimate goal of being able to do it with a windows image :) I'm glad it worked for you, it started in my head as a hmmm, what if?... Idea, but I ...

PXE SERVER?
Is it possible to make a plugin or something similar so that I can install distros/iso that are stored on USB connected to the router? Something similar to multiboot so that I can choose which OS I'd like to install on a remote machine? There are a few guides that show how to do a Linux distro but I...

Re: 1.13.0.x gargoyle-ispy 2020-November-01 20
Been installed for 24hrs on wndr3700v4 and all is well :) Pretty basic setup, AP, VPN Server and DDNS. Ever so slightly more memory usage than 1.12x_March build @ 30.9MB / 121.2MB (25.4%) but performance is spot-on for my usage. Can I ask, is there still a driver issue that drops Wi-Fi occasionally?

How can I help you?
8-) Hello again, Having solve my "multiple networks in Windows 8" issue in my last thread, it's got me thinking. I've been spending my evenings reading a lot of posts across the forum. I'd like to be able to contribute. I don't reallly have any advanced skills per se - I'm definitely the g...

Re: Multiple Networks in Windows 8
Yep, fixed on my server as well
So, conclusion is that something in win 8.1 goes pear shaped after a while with NIC drivers - can't pin it down as it happened across multiple machines and NIC manufacturers. Windows update maybe? Looking forward to moving to 1.13 permanently now

Re: Fixed - Multiple Networks in Windows 8
Fixed. The interaction between windows 8.1 and the NIC drivers. Installed a clean 8.1 in a VM WNDR3700v4 clean flash 1.13x VM recognised Network and offered to set private - excellent. Reboot router - windows VM recognised and defaulted to previous network - excellent Checked 2 existing machines - s...

Re: Multiple Networks in Windows 8
The mac shwn in the status page is stable across reboots, and I've also disabled NLA as part of my testing which makes no difference. I can try a different OS but only in a VM - I'll try that and get back to you
Thanks again
