Maybe we're looking at different bugs then, because I'm running rc5 and I see no such problem. Have you tried rc5?

Well, thx for reporting back. Have you reported the problem back to the vanilla-openwrt people? Maybe your loggs and ability to reproduce the problem could help shed some light on the issue?

Any reports concerning if things are working as they should in 1.5.3?

Re: TL-WR1043ND. wifi troubles and the fw versions affected

I don't have gargoyle installed right now, but when I did, I did check the logs and posted about it in the 1.5.2 news thread. I never tried the noscan option I'm afraid, so if that would offer a solution I cannot say. Even if it does work, I would still say it's a bug since the wireless interference...

Where have you been able to select AES?
It seems I remembered wrong, I assumed wpa2 was AES based. It seems I got the same encryption settings as you do.

I'm not sure why your router is more stable then. Maybe the type of traffic is part of the puzzle. Do you run any p2p software?

Re: TL-WR1043ND. wifi troubles and the fw versions affected

As i said, I saw the same thing in plain openwrt, so it's not gargoyle that is at fault here. If you don't experience the same problem it's probably due to you not using the same openwrt settings that I, and others experiencing problems, do. It probably got something to do with using the "N&quo...

TL-WR1043ND. wifi troubles and the fw versions affected

I got a TL-WR1043ND, hardware version 1.8. I think the hardware version is important because I had another router with hw v 1.7 that proved to be much more stable even when running the exact same firmware. As discussed in the thread about 1.5.2. the wifi drops completely or slows down to a crawl aft...

Re: Version 1.5.2 & 1.4.5

... I've installed vanilla openwrt now, in order to determine if the problem is gargoyle specific or openwrt specific. Perfect, looking forward to hear what the result will be. So far it seems it's gargoyle specific. I haven't seen any slowdown at all when using plain openwrt. Well, trunk is not im...

It seems my previous comment was a bit too premature. I can see now that this is a problem that affect plain openwrt too. I'm going to try trunk and see if solves anything.
