Re: Speed vs bufferbloat and looking for some advice...

By Gargoyle 1.10 , you mean the version from the " Download " section, or the latest build 1.10.X ? If it's the first, I strongly suggest that you try the latest build, as a lot of improvements/bug fixes were made up to this point. Like this new version of the QoS monitor, for example. Th...

Re: Speed vs bufferbloat and looking for some advice...

What's the "Ping Target IP" in ACC set to? I tried leaving it off and tried setting it to google's 8.8.8.8 but it didn't seem to make a difference. I don't think QoS will work properly (or at all?) with Upload disabled, especially if you have specific rules in this direction. Hmm, It must...

Re: Speed vs bufferbloat and looking for some advice...

Setting Upload total bandwidth value too high could lead to that. Make sure you set your " Total Bandwidth " values accordingly to this tutorial . Interesting. I get over 11Mpbs upload without QoS. I tried setting Qos to use 11000, 10500, 10000, 9000 and 8000. Every time my bufferbloat on...

Speed vs bufferbloat and looking for some advice...

I'm currently using Volaris's simple QoS setup from here: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=11167 I seem to lose about 30-40% of my maximum speed from sftp downloads and speed tests when using QoS with ACC enabled. On the plus side, my bufferbloat goes from D or C to A on DSLreports speed tests with QoS enab...

Re: Help with VOIP (magicjack) QOS?

This would be VOIP wouldn't it? I tried using Volaris's simple QoS setup from here: https://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=11167 I have an advertised 100/10 Mbit connection which usually gets 118000/11000 kbps on the Okla speedtest. I deleted all default rules and created jus...

Help with VOIP (magicjack) QOS?

I've searched through a lot of threads trying to figure this out and QoS confuses the heck out of me. :) I've just cut my phone cord and am using a magicjack. It works well so far but i'm trying to figure out how to set Gargoyle to prioritize the magicjack traffic without limiting anything else. I t...

Re: Adblock Plugin

Lantis wrote:Use Google Chrome and go to the Citibank website.
Press F12 to bring up the developer menu and there's a tab which shows what is being requested. If you look for all of these URLs in the block list hopefully you will find it.
Thanks. I will try that next time I make a payment.

Re: Adblock Plugin

I've installed gargoyle and really like the adblock plugin but have one problem. I use citibank online and it blocks all payments from going through when adblock is enabled. I've searched the block list and white listed anything with "citi" in it but it still won't allow payments to go thr...
