Which version should I use to best support WDS Repeater mode? How difficult is it to set up in this mode?
Thanks!

Re: Repeat access to config page?
1) You access the lan via the wireless access point you have configured 2) You access via the wan since you have enabled ssh/remote web admin in the system/access page If you have not done (1) or (2), you fire up FonFlash and debrick your router... Yep, item #1 worked, and now I've enabled item #2 ...

Repeat access to config page?
AP devices such as the FON and others only have one ethernet port, so if you set up the port initially to serve as WAN with DHCP, how do you get back into the setup menus if you want to change anything?

Re: Procedure to Edit "Redboot"?
Thanks ispyisail, I'm comfortable with other linux editors like "nano" and "vi", but I have no experience with command line editing. To avoid misinterpreting your instructions, could you please elaborate by providing a step-by-step procedure, to change the default IP in a device....

Re: Procedure to Edit "Redboot"?
I thought there was a way to edit once you get to the redboot prompt, and I can get there through the ethernet port. The redboot manual is not real clear on the procedure though. I have a generic serial cable that I can modify and use if necessary. Thanks for pointing me to the fabrication articles....

Procedure to Edit "Redboot"?
I'm in uncharted territory now folks. I need to edit the "redboot" script to change the default IP address. Can anyone give me a simple 1-2-3 or point me to a step-by-step procedure? I can access the redboot prompt and use "fconfig -l" to show the current configuration, but I can...

Re: Reflash Open-Mesh to Gargoyle
Update: I was finally able to get the FON flashed using "fonflash", but I had to preset the LAN adapter to a fixed IP of 192.168.1.3 to get it to sync up during the redboot period. It has to start out connected, or it will not connect during the 5 sec redboot period. After starting fonfla...

Re: Reflash Open-Mesh to Gargoyle
Eric, you did understand that this AP has been flashed before with Open-mesh firmware, using the linux version of "easyflash" or "AP51"? I'm using the windows XP version of "fonflash" to attempt this reflash. I have tried your procedure several times, and get the same r...

Re: Reflash Open-Mesh to Gargoyle
Erik, Nothing was said in the procedure about IP address, so I left the LAN port set to dynamic. When I start fonflash it says: reading image (name of root file) reading image (name of kernel file) no packet | no packet (until the fon boots) Then: peer mac (mac of device) peer IP 192.168.1.1 your ma...
