Re: Version 1.5.4 & 1.4.7

This would require more FLASH which is one of the resources that must be rationed since some router models are tight on FLASH space. Since you can install these yourself after installing Gargoyle what specific feature would be gained by doing as you request? Actually, I think only 3 of those listed...

Re: Version 1.5.4 & 1.4.7

Eric,
Would it be possible for you to include the following kernel modules in the future standard gargoyle builds?

kmod-gre
kmod-ipt-conntrack
kmod-ipt-conntrack-extra
kmod-ipt-nat
kmod-ipt-nat-extra
kmod-ipt-nathelper
kmod-ipt-nathelper-extra

Thanks!

Re: Help setting up VPN client

Mitch76 - I'm not sure if my custom build would be beneficial to you or not. But I'd be more than happy to send it to you if you'd like. Let me know and I will upload it somewhere and send you a link. It sounds like you are wanting a VPN Client running on your gargoyle router. Do you want ALL traffi...

Re: Help setting up VPN client

Thanks for the reply. In the meantime, I decided to setup a git environment and build an image from scratch on a virtual ubuntu system under virtualbox. After issuing "make custom", I picked all of the kernel modules I have listed above and successfully compiled for my router (Netgear WNDR...

Re: Help setting up VPN client

Doritos, I think you have made some good progress! Was your success just from compiling from source and including all of the correct packages/modules? I think there are a few more modules that you need for it all to work correctly. Here is a list of ALL of the packages you may need to include when y...

Re: Help setting up VPN client

doritos: You installed kmod-gre via opkg, and it probably "installed" fine. But have you ever been able to get the modules to LOAD correctly? Have you tried loading them with: insmod kmod-gre or insmod ip_gre? or with a router reboot? Issue a "dmesg" command before and after any ...
