Hi,
The "tick" is used to enable/disable a quota rule, so you've answered the first part yourself
For the second part, automatically disabling after a set period, I don't think you can. Quotas are on a daily/weekly/monthly cycle that repeats.

Re: Possible to disable wired LAN ports?
Hi, What is your reason for wanting to disable ethernet? All the restrictions can be applied to ethernet the same as wireless. You need to ensure you put restrictions in place for the entire network, then add minimal exceptions as required. See my setup guide http://bikemike.webnode.com/guides/ Howe...

Re: Phone adapter + gargoyle.
I have had a similar problem, but don't think it's related to the IP address. I have assigned static IP in DHCP, but just to give it a hostname. I also set the static IP on the ATA (a billion 6404). After a power failure both devices come up and are accessible on the network, but sometimes VoIP does...

Thanks Eric,
I understand it's low priority, also it may be just me... is anyone else having this problem?

Forum auto-login stopped working?
Hi, I have ticked the box to "Log me on automatically each visit", but for the last week or two it has stopped working. Every day I have to log in again. Is this possibly related to the new web host? I have cleared cache and cookies, logged out and back in several times, but no luck. Using...

Re: router by dns (instead of IP)
I did ask a similar question once but nobody replied... perhaps I didn't phrase it correctly
http://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/vi ... ?f=5&t=451
I though if you've given the router a hostname you should be able to ping/browse that hostname.

Re: shared adsl metering per ip
He mentioned charging them for usage rather than cutting them off with a quota. Perhaps a combination of monitoring/charging, and somehow using QOS to limit their effect on his own internet experience, would be what is needed?

Re: shared adsl metering per ip
Hi John, Gargoyle can do what you need, but you'll need to set up a fixed IP for each new student's PC (do they change often?). It can measure usage per IP and also enforce quotas if necessary. All the setup is done on the router, you don't need access to their PCs. I don't know about your router, i...

Re: Upgrading to newer/updated version ?
I generally just Save backup -> flash new version -> set password & timezone -> restore backup. There have been occasional upgrades where I've had problems and gone back to configuring from scratch, thankfully this has not happened recently. Bandwidth/quota history never gets restored, not sure ...
