Re: Isolate LAN-port to WAN only

Thanks for your suggestion Lantis. I'll check it out this evening.

And yes, off course they will be too busy killing zombies. But you know how that saying goes: "better safe than sorry". And it might not be on purpose; there might be virusses on the friend computers...

[Resolved] Isolate LAN-port to WAN only

Greetings, How can I enforce that all the traffic originating from one wired LAN-port (eg LAN4) can access only the WAN-port? Similar to the feature for Wireless Client Isolation but then for one specific LAN-port. Background: my son organizes lan-parties with his friends and I don't want them to ac...

Re: Restrict a single host to the local network only

Hi,

I am trying to achieve the same: restrict a single host to the LOCAL network, but allow access to the WAN.

The solution above, restrict imho all network access.
An IPTABLES command would also work for me

Re: Version 1.6.0

Big thanks to all.

Just upgraded my TL-1043ND v1 from 1.5.11 to 1.6.0 keeping the settings.
Worked like a charm.

Re: Version 1.5.9 - OpenVPN

upgrade from 1.5.8 went smooth on TP-LINK 1043ND. Except for one thing: can't connect with OpenVPN client anymore. Tried to download the client-files again: ERROR: Client ID does not exist. Resolved it the hard way: re-install v1.5.9 and manually entered all settings (as opposite to restore the bac...

Support OpenVPN client with password

Hi, Is it possible to also enable client passwords when defining OpenVPN configuration? I would like that client-server connection not only relies on having the right certificates available, but ALSO having the proper knowledge. For example, I am carrying an USB-stick with OpenVPN client (portable) ...

Re: Version 1.5.8 - USB Storage with FTP

Is it possible to manually change the generated UDP configs to deal with the subtle TCP bug? If so, what files and what change?

don't feel confident in building my own firmware but would like to have OpenVPN over TCP

Re: Routing to LAN with OpenVPN

Problem solved. Was not on OpenVPN but on Win7 host where the pc firewall blocked ping requests from outside the local subnet. Added 10.8.0.0/24 to the allowed list of external IP's and ping worked.
