Re: What's the best router for Gargoyle. lol.
I just ordered this Linksys wrtac1900ac... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KEK4Q5Q/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 One of the reasons I always ordered a gargoyle router from the store was to avoid the daunting choices of firmware to download (I don't like admitting that). I...

Re: What's the best router for Gargoyle. lol.
Thanks everyone. Just to fill in some more detail I will be happy with reaching 150Mb/s throughput. I have an old Ubiquiti "Bullet" wireless backbone that delivers internet to my client, and they are only good for 150Mb/s max. So the idea is to get all routers and switches up to 1000Mb/s s...

What's the best router for Gargoyle. lol.
Sorry for the newbie question but I have been running Gargoyle for many years and still have this question. After bricking a router the first time installing Gargoyle I just started buying routers from the store here with Gargoyle pre-installed. I have bought many over the years (just ask Eric). The...

Substitute for blocking BITTORENT
Just updated to 1.12.0 and see that the Application Protocol blocking is greyed out. Is there a substitute? For example, how about limiting MAX CONNECTIONS in Connection Limits section?
Separately, curious what others set MAX CONNECTION to in general. Default is 4096.

Re: Two feature questions before posting as Feature Requests
Perhaps the 1.9.1 FW, with the ability to show actual usage instead of % would be the answer to my #2 ??

Two feature questions before posting as Feature Requests
1) If you have the router configured to "Shut down all internet access" when a user reaches their quota, the user is taken to a gargoyle login page. My preference would be that the user be taken to a configurable URL, hopefully (but optionally) with the ability to display the user's quota....

Re: Question on wifi scheduler plugin
Thanx Lantis. I'm actually researching this to assist some users on a Ubiquiti UniFi forum (UniFi is a managed wifi soluiton) who wish this functionality. I might look for other solutions first before recommending customizing a Gargoyle router at the cli. And I just discovered that the UniFi control...

Question on wifi scheduler plugin
Just discovered and installed this plugin. As much as I can tell this is a global facility... i.e. the schedule applies to all clients. Just wish to confirm this. I'm looking to apply the schedule on a per user basis, or perhaps to the guest network only. (want be able to lock the kiddies out but no...

Cut someone get cutoff after they have been on for X minutes
Hello. I am looking to see if I can configure a per user method of cutting someone off of internet after they have been on for, say, 1.5 hours. Poking around I see the wifi scheduler, which allows one to set specific hours of access. But I am looking for something that operates very much the way the...
