But which file?
I have a purchased Gargoyle router, presently running 1.5.10 and I'd like to update the firmware. The model is TP-Link TL-WR1043N/ND v1 The installation guide says that this model would want downloads for Artheros AR71XX, and that I should use a sysupgrade.bin file. The Downloads page shows several ...

Re: Router does not see Synology Diskstation
Yep, well, it have never shown up here, despite being reliably online. It's a stealthy device, I guess.

Router does not see Synology Diskstation
Taking a look at Gargoyle's "Connected Hosts" page, I noticed that it does not list our Synology Diskstation NAS which is parked at 192.168.1.241 -- and I'm wondering why.

Re: Possible to change the default username?
Oh well, "Admin" for GUI seems a bit obvious. I was hoping to to make it a bit less so.

Re: Unable to connect via Remote Web Admin Access
Thanks, Eric. Update: I was unable to access any ports as long as the modem's ISP protocol was set to PPPoE. With some assistance from the manufacturer I was shown how to set it to "Transparent-Bridge" protocol, then I set the Gargoyle to connect via PPPoE. Now open ports on the Gargoyle a...

Unable to connect via Remote Web Admin Access
Hm. I hope this does not double-post. I Submitted it but it doesn't appear to have been posted. I can't connect to the router via remote web admin access. I have enabled Gargoyle's HTTPS web access using the default port 443. I am trying to connect from the outside using my public IP address as http...

Re: hostnames?
Thank you, Eric. Most of the machines already have static IPs, assigned at the machine level. And I edited /etc/hosts to give Gargoyle a hostname to display. So I'm pretty much all set up that way. But now my curiousity is piqued -- what can be done on an XP machine, a W7 machine, a Linux machine to...

hostnames?
Gargoyle's Bandwidth Usage table shows hostnames for a few of the devices in the building: a couple XP laptops, a couple iPhones. But the rest of the connected hosts, mainly XP/W7 machines, only show up as IP addresses. How can I make changes to the machines so Gargoyle can find their hostnames? Und...
